President Bola Tinubu has appointed five new aides to work in the Office of the President under the Media and Publicity Directorate. These appointments were made in adherence to Nigeria's federal character principle and a commitment to meritocracy.

The newly appointed aides are as follows:

  1. Mr. Fela Durotoye - Senior Special Assistant to the President for National Values & Social Justice.
  2. Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo - Senior Special Assistant to the President for Public Engagement.
  3. Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe - Senior Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Communications.
  4. Mr. Aliyu Audu - Special Assistant to the President for Public Affairs.
  5. Mr. Francis Adah Abah - Personal Assistant to the President for Special Duties
Additionally, Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe has been seconded to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.

In a statement, the President emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum and decency in all interactions with the public. He called on the new appointees to contribute to his administration's efforts to renew hope in a restructured economy and a unified society that meets the needs of all Nigerians, irrespective of their differences.
