President Bola Tinubu has conveyed a message to the Super Eagles through Sports Minister John Enoh, urging them to elevate their performance in the remaining stages of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d'Ivoire.

Speaking via Zoom from Abuja, Tinubu expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's recent showing in the group stage. Minister Enoh shared the President's sentiments, emphasizing that while Tinubu acknowledged their qualification, he expected improved performances moving forward.

Team captain Ahmed Musa thanked the sports minister for the encouragement and extended an invitation to President Tinubu to witness their games live, viewing it as a motivational boost for the players.

The Super Eagles are set to face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in the last 16 of the tournament on Saturday.
