Glo subscribers may soon find themselves unable to make calls to MTN lines as the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) takes action over the non-settlement of interconnect charges.

The NCC disclosed this decision in a public notice, revealing that it granted partial approval for the disconnection of Globacom from MTN Nigeria Communications Plc.

According to the notice, Glo was notified of MTN's application, given the opportunity to present its case, and subsequently, the NCC determined that Glo lacks sufficient justification for the non-payment of interconnect charges.

The impending partial disconnection is set to restrict outbound calls from Glo to MTN, with only inbound calls to the Glo network remaining unaffected. As the telecom giants navigate this dispute, subscribers brace for potential disruptions in their communication services.
