Nigeria Shock Grips Gbagada as Newly Hired House Help Fatally Stabs Employer

Tragedy struck in Lagos' Gbagada area when a woman was found stabbed to death in her apartment on Kiniun-Ifa Street, Sawmill. The victim, yet to be identified, was discovered by her son on March 9, 2024.

The suspect, identified only as Peter, her house help, is reported to have fled the scene. The house help had resumed work just a week before the incident. Witnesses revealed that the victim's body showed signs of decomposition, suggesting the murder might have occurred days earlier. Authorities have arrested a relative of the agent who introduced Peter as the house help, as the agent remains elusive.

The Ifako Police division visited the scene and transported the victim's body. Efforts to obtain further details from the victim's son were unsuccessful due to his distress.

The suspect has been apprehended and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further inquiry, as investigations into the tragic event continue.
