Apart from his inner cabinet members, these set of people are very influential and they are his die-hard fans.

Here are seven politicians who stood with President Buhari in 2016 political corridor:

1. Rochas Okorocha for the South east zone

Okorocha is the current chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), an umbrella body for the state executives elected on the platform of the All progressives Congress.

Governor Okorocha has repeatedly said he will drop his Presidential ambition for Buhari any day in as much as the latter is contesting is in an election.

He is the eyes and ears of President Muhammadu Buhari at South East Geo-Political Zone of Nigeria.

2. Rotimi Amaechi on the South south zone

Mr. Amaechi is the current Minister of Transport and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress.

He was the immediate past Governor of Rivers state and still maintain high recognition for the President in the zone just as during the 2015 Presidential election where he was the campaign director of President Muhammadu Buhari APC team.

3. Babatunde Fashola, Kayode Fayemi on the South west

The duo, Minister of Power, Housing and Works and Minister of Solid Mineral Resources, Babatude Fashola and Kayemi are among the apple in Buhari's eyes in 2016. After fallout from their political leader in the South west, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the duo have aligned with the Abuja cabals and they have maintained a good stand for President Muhamamdu Buhari in the South west.

The recent play out was the Ondo gubernatorial election where they aligned against the wish of Asiwaju Tinubu for Rotimi Akeredolu and emerged victorious.

They control the South west political zone for the President.

4. Nasir El-Rufai, for the North west: Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is the Governor of Kaduna State. That he is very close to the President and by extension has considerable influence on Buhari is not in doubt. He is one of the most regular state governors at the Presidential Villa.

Sources within the Villa say that the governor doesn’t book his visits in advance. Protocols are simply waived for him.

5. Alhaji Abdul-Aziz Yari Abubakar - North West

Alhaji Yari is the Chairman of Nigeria's Governor Forum and Governor of Katsina elected on the platform of the All progressives Congress. He was rumored to be dating the 22 years old newly wedded Daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He owns enormous position between the Governors especially on the opposition line with President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government.

6. Mamman Daura – The Cabal in Aso Rock: Another major power broker in the Presidency is his nephew, Mamman Daura. He is immensely close to the President, hence, has inputs in many of Buhari’s major decisions including appointments. He is the eyes and nose of the President in Aso Rock, the seat of power.

7. Adams Oshiomhole - Immediate Past Governor of Edo state: Comrade Oshiomhole is a die-hard supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari right from the 2015 build electioneering to his last day in office as the Governor of Edo. Little wonders, the President supported his candidacy without any interference from the Bourdillon cabal or Aso rock cabal. Mr. Godwin Obaseki enjoyed smooth ride to the Edo government House.

President Buhari has tipped Oshiomhole for his readiness to call him over to Aso rock for federal appointment. Oshiomhole may take over a viable position in the Presidency comes 2017.
