Over the weekend, from his medical vacation in London, Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari called his Media Team with excitement from Femi Adesina, Garba Shehu, and his Information Minister Lai Mohammed. The President had earlier spoken with Kano and Katsina governors, and some party faithfuls assuring them of his sound health. Buhari's health has fuelled a lot of speculations, especially with his extended Medical vacation - with no date of return yet. Here is a list of those that the President may call before his return, as compiled by Nigerian Bulletin.

Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari

1. John Oyegun – Chief John Odigie Oyegun is the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, party of President Buhari. Since he (Buhari) left on his medical vacation, Oyegun has not commented (as diclosed by the media) on the health status of his party man, neither has the President conversed with him. Any time from now, before his return, President Buhari may put a call through to him.

2. Abiola Ajimobi: Abiola Ajimobi is the governor of Oyo state, South west Nigeria. Last Tuesday, over 5000 residents of Oyo State gathered at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan to pray for the safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari and the turn around of the political, socio-economic development of the country. Those at the prayer meeting include members of various political parties, as well as clerics from both the Islamic and Christian faiths in the state. Just as he did for Kano state governor, Ganduje who organised prayer sessions for him, and in show of appreciation, we should expect Buhari speaks with Ajimobi very soon.

3. Olusegun Obasanjo: Obasanjo, former Nigeria's President will clock 80 Sunday, March 5. In a recent interview with News Agency of Nigeria, Obasanjo said that President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to disappoint him since he assumed office in 2015. Obasanjo said that the president had done his best to move the country forward. “Whatever anybody says, President Buhari has not disappointed me from what I know of him,” he said. In show of good-spirit and to congratulate him on his 80th birthday, President Buhari may call Olusegun Obasanjo.

4. El-Rufai: Nasir El-rufai is the executive governor of Kaduna – a state engulfed in tense religious crisis. El-rufai is one of the closest allies to President Buhari that he is often regarded as the unofficial Vice President. Since Buhari left for UK, El-rufai has not spoken on Buhari's health neither has he held any conversation with him. Will he speak to President Buhari before his return? Hopefully.

5. Aisha Buhari: Wife of the President, Aisha has been mum on the health of her husband. A top government source recently revealed to journalists that Mrs. Aisha is not happy with the way the powerful cabals are managing the president's health. She travels and returns quietly. Her husband, Muhammadu Buhari may put a call through to her before his eventual return.

6. Godwin Emiefele: Last week, the Nigerian naira revived and gained over 12 per cent in 4 days owing to Godwin Emefiele prompt 'though late' action at the Forex market. The naira became one of the best performing currency in the world and gives hope to businesses and would-be investors. President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been calling prominent Nigerians within his administration may extend hands in fellowship to wish the CBN governor over the appreciation of naira.

7. Babachir Lawal – Engineer Babachir is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and also one of the 'cabals' in the Presidential villa. Since Buhari has gone to the UK with some other cabals, Babachir has been the one at home monitoring home activities and watching mischief makers. He recently said thieves and looters are those that want Buhari dead. We should expect President Buhari speaks with him soon.
