The Anambra State Executive council has approved contracts worth N27.515 billion for a new Government House, the Governor’s Lodge, House of Assembly building, judiciary headquarters, as well as official residences of the speaker of the House of Assembly and the Chief Judge of the state.
Briefing reporters after the weekly executive council meeting in Awka, the commissioner for information, culture and tourism, Chief Joe Martins Uzodike, listed other projects approved by the council to include the construction of a shopping mall at Nnewi at a cost of N3 billion, rehabilitation of Upper Iweka fly-over to Zik’s roundabout in Onitsha at a cost of N3.5 billion.
