The Government of Bangladesh has hailed the Nigerian Armed Forces for its effort in tackling boko haram.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Brig.-Gen. Rabe Abubakar, on Tuesday in Abuja. The statement said that the commendation was conveyed by a Bangladesh Defence delegation on a courtesy visit to the Defence Headquarters.
Part of the statement said, “Bangladesh has lauded the success of the Nigerian military to overcome insurgency and expressed willingness to adopt the Nigerian Armed Forces winning strategy to combat insurgency and criminalities in their country.''
It said that Bangladesh had a lot to learn from the Nigerian military and lauded the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Gabriel Olonisakin for his leadership direction.
