Two police officers attached to the Nigerian music star Davido have been detained after members of the public reported them for reckless shooting along the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road on the 31 July 2017. The officers in question had been attached to a private security firm, Infinity Security Company via 20 Police Mobile Force Squadron.
The head of Public Complaints Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) official, ACP Abayomi Shogunle, stated that the unit was notified by members of the public of the incident in Lagos.
ACP Shogunle stated - Punishment has been recommended. We are only waiting for the appropriate police authority to review the punishment.
