The ActionCongress of Nigeria(ACN) , Lagos State Chapter has issued a statement in support of the expulsion of 67 beggars and destitute by the Lagos State Government. The beggers and destitutes were reportedly dumped on the Upper Iweka Bridge, Onitsha, Anambra State.

The statement, released by the ACN’s Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, on Tuesday said the move would help check crime in Nigeria’s economic giant, Lagos state.

Mr Igbokwe, also added that the Anambra State Government had been informed prior to the move by the Lagos state government , but got no response from it.

He further cautioned politicians from trying to politicize the move and assured all Igbos living in Lagos to be rest assured as the state was still conducive for all those who wanted to do business.
