Ahead of the June 21, governorship election in #Ekiti State, the Labour Party (LP) flagbearer, Hon. #OpeyemiBamidele has denied reports that he had withdrawn from participating in the election.
Bamidele, a House of Representatives member will be battling for the apex position in Ekiti State with two other major contenders, including the incumbent Governor, #KayodeFayemi of the All Progressives Congress (#APC) and former governor of the State, Ayodele Fayose, who is the candidate of the #PeoplesDemocraticParty (PDP).
The LP candidate explained that he had not stepped down from the race, but only suspended his campaigns due to persistent attacks on his followers by his opponents.
