Sports Enyimba To Kick Off CAF Campions League Campaign Against Uganda's Vipers SC

Seven Time Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Enyimba will kick off their 2016 CAF Champions League campaign against Ugandan champions Vipers SC in February 2016.

The Elephants of Aba, who won the continental championship back to back in 2004 and 2005 will be away in their first game before hosting the Ugandan team few weeks later.

The draws for the 2016 CAF Champions League preliminary rounds took place on Friday in Dakar, with the Peoples’ Elephant entering at the first qualifying round as one of Nigeria’s two flagbearers.

Enyimba will face Vipers SC in Bukiwe in the first leg on the weekend of 12-14 February, before welcoming Edward Golola’s side to the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba a fortnight later.

The winner of this tie will progress to the next qualifying round to face either Lioli FC of Lesotho or Burundian champions Vital’O in March.
