Sports EPL: Sam Allardyce plots Sunderland's fall

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is hoping that his first side would continue in their good form when they play Sunderland this weekend.

Allardyce is delighted with his side's performances so far which has seen them climb up the table in fourth position, challenging for an European slot.

And Allardyce has been impressed with the contributions of Cameroon star, Alex Song, who has been immense for the Hammers.

“We are really flying, we have a lot of players fit, the way Alex Song controls that midfield for us is brilliant. He gets the right service to the front men,” said Allardyce after the Swans victory.

“We will enjoy ourselves for a day or too and get ourselves ready for the next game."

On the game against Sunderland, Allardyce is optimistic about carrying on the momentum to the Stadium of Light.

“They've been struggling for goals recently, I think Connor Wickham and Steven Fletcher would've wanted a few more goals than they've got," he added.

“If they had they would have converted their draws to wins, hopefully we can keep those guys quiet on Saturday and deliver another good away performance."
