The federal government is set to hire Malaysia consultants to provide tips on improving the country's economy.

This move was okayed by the Federal Executive Council on Wednesday presided on by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udoma said that the council had approved the engagement of Malaysian consultants to conduct a study that would aid the implementation of the National Economic Recovery and Growth Plan at a cost of $1.5 million.

Going by today's exchange rate, $1.5 million exchanges for about half a billion naira.
