Sports FIFA Women's World Cup: NFF promises to engage the Super Falcons in quality friendly games

Head of competitions of the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Sanusi Mohammed, has promised that they will organise friendly games for the Super Falcons in order to adequately prepare them for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament.

Nigeria alongside Cameroon and Ivory Coast will be flying the continent's flag at next year's tournament in Canada.

The Super Falcons qualified for the championship after winning the African Women Championship title for an unprecedented seventh title in Namibia.

They will now be coming up against the trio of USA, Australia and Sweden in group D of the World Cup.

"Quality friendly matches will do the magic, especially with the Europeans, because there are some of them [players] who are playing against foreign ‘white-colored’ teams for the first time and to eliminate the inferiority complex they must be engaged” he told footballlive.ng

"There is the need to play these games bearing in mind that they also have qualifiers for the Olympics and All African Games, these games will equally help prepare them even as we anticipate a hectic new year,” he added.
