Following the reports that threw social media into frenzy over the rumoured assasination of Gambia's President-elect, Adama Barrow, the President elect, has come out to dispel the rumours confirming he is hale and hearty.
Adama, through his twitter handle (@Adama_barrow) said: 'We would like to inform you that the President-elect is alive and well.''
It was earlier reported by CBN TV that the President elect has been killed by unknown assailants. The unconfirmed report from the medium says 'the assailants overpowered the security guards of Mr Barrow, leaving two of the guards dead and six others injured from gun shots.
However, Mr. Barrow has confirmed he is alive and keeping well.
