A representative of Glasgow Caledonian University(GCU), Dr Anita Meldrum was in Abuja recently to meet with Dr Oliver Odikamnoro, Ebonyi State University in order to discuss possible collaboration on water scarcity issues.
Dr Odikamnoro, a biologist in water related diseases was introduced to Dr Meldrum by her Nigerian PHD student, Obinna Uguru. whose PhD relates to water scarcity and public health, with a view to enhancing community engagement.
Also, Obinna, whose PhD relates to water scarcity and public health will contribute to moving things forward in this important field in Abuja. GCU agreed to explore joint work and potential EU funding for research exchange with Ebonyi, in order to continue working with Obinna, whose PhD will be finished by the end of 2013.
