Nigeria is one of the four African countries, representing the continent,at the Under 17 World Cup this year.
Kanu who incidentally skippered the Under 17 side to victory 20 years ago in the same tournament,in Japan 1993,advised the team to be conscious of their defending.

“ You know I’m in love with this present Golden Eaglets and I’m confident they would do very well at the World Cup in the UAE.”
“What is needed is to have a more solid defence and they (the coaches) can build the rest of the team from there,” Kanu added.
The Golden Eaglets are currently in camp in Calabar, where they are finetuning preparations for the World Cup.
