The #Surulere Local Government had obtained loans without approval, in violation of the #Lagos State Public Finance Management Law 2011.
The Civil Society Network Against Corruption, CSNAC, a coalition of anti-corruption organizations, has requested for the audited accounts of the local governments in Lagos State from the Auditor-General.
The group’s request came following a PREMIUM TIMES exclusive report on the audited accounts of Surulere Local Government which revealed numerous financial irregularities, including millions of naira of non-executed contracts in 2012 by the Executive Council.
