2016 is set to be a bumper year for Potter-verse, with Eddie Redmayne starring as Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The author, JK Rowling revealed that she will be working with director John Tiffany and writer Jack Thorne on The Cursed Child.

Fans of Harry Potter will be chugging down an extra pint of butterbeer to celebrate the news that the boy wizard’s adventures are set to continue on the London stage.

JK Rowling confirmed the production is happening and revealed a few other details about who will be helping her bring this untold chapter of Harry’s life to fruition.

Early reports are suggesting the play will focus on Harry’s parents, Lily and James Potter, before they were killed by the evil Lord Voldemort.

In the books, this leads to Harry gaining his famous scar and sets off a chain of events that led to seven novels and eight record-breaking films.

David Yates will direct the Oscar-winning actor in a story set decades before Harry Potter was even born.
