The ovarian cancer patient, Mayowa Ahmed that gained much support from many Nigerians last month passed on in an hospital in South Africa.
The University of Lagos Graduate was flown to South Africa after a delayed trip to UAE caused by the scam rumor that followed the donations made for her treatment.
According to Blackbox Nigeria, the delay caused by the Police investigation made her family fly her to South Africa last week, after missing out the earlier schedule with doctors in the UAE. It was while she was awaiting operation that she had her last breath.
A family source revealed that the delay caused by the scam rumor created by actress Toyin Aimakhu and blogger Linda Ikeji did give the family a setback. It was further gathered that the sick lady, Mayowa also watched and read viral news about her state of health been a scam online before eventually been flown to South Africa.
