The First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan has stated, in a brilliant display of inductive logic, that Diezani Alison-Madueke's emergence as OPEC president is enough proof to show that she is not corrupt as Nigerians have been told.
She said this during a PDP women rally in Lagos, adding a feministic twist by noting that women are currently controlling Nigeria's resources because they have been shown to be credible, reliable and worthy of trust.
She applauded her husband for giving women this opportunity to shine in his administration: “I want you to know that in this PDP government of Goodluck Ebele and Sambo, out of 42 cabinet members, 15 are women,” she enthused.
“Jonathan did not only give women 16 slots, he said women are honest, trustworthy, loyal and we can contribute to the development of this great country and he gave us ministry of finance and the ministry of petroleum.
“The money of Nigeria is in the pocket of women and because we are trustworthy and honest, anytime Nigeria needs money, we bring it out from our pocket and say take go and do your work, go and do projects. Let the people of Nigeria benefit. Jonathan gave us all the powerful positions.”
