Former Arsenal striker Gervinho has revealed that he now despises the club because of Arsene Wenger.
The Ivory Coast international said that the treatment he got from his former coach made him hate Arsenal.
Gervinho who was bought by Arsenal from Lille FC following his impressive showings in the French Ligue 1, was shipped out Italian side, AS Roma after two inconsistent seasons with the Gunners.
And the Ivorian has turned the corner since leaving Arsenal, becoming a strong weapon for Roma, which is in sharp contrast to his time in England.
"He [Wenger] never had confidence in me,' Gervinho told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"As a child I dreamed of playing for Arsenal, because I loved them.
"Now I hate them for the way Wenger treated me.
"However, I regretted leaving the club after such a short time without being able to show my worth, which I'm now doing at Roma instead."
Gervinho spent two frustrating seasons at Arsenal scoring only 11 goals in all competitions.
