Kaduna state's Governor Nasir El Rufai has stated that his fate in the 2019 elections lies in the hands of God and President Muhammadu Buhari.
El-Rufai said this in a special phone-in radio program in Kaduna monitored by Tribune on Wednesday to mark his two years in office.
“If the president comes and meet me and said I want you to re-contest or otherwise, I have no option than to obey his command," he said.
“Afterall, in 2014 or thereabout, I had my own plans before the President asked me to contest the exalted position of the governor and the rest is now history.
He also denied that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded some of the projects in the state.
