Politics Kaduna: El-Rufai Reshuffles State Executive Council

Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has announced sweeping changes to the State Executive Council today.

El-Rufai’s Special Assistance on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan announced these changes in a statement issued earlier today.

The changes affect four State ministries including the Health and Human Services, Commerce and Industry, Environment and Natural Resources; and Education, Science and Technology.

Jonathan Andrew Nok will depart his role as the Commissioner of Health and Human Services to take the portfolio of Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology.

Replacing Mr. Nok as Commissioner for Health and Human Services will be Paul Manya Dogo, who is now the outgoing Chief Resident Consultant at the Barau Teaching Hospital.

Shehu Balarabe, the former Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, will now lead the Environment and Natural Resources ministry. Mr. Balarabe will replace Yau Idris, who is leaving the Kaduna State government to join the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Agency.

The now former Commissioner for Education, Shehu Adamu, will replace Mr. Balarabe as Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Tourism.
