Super Eagles coach,Stephen Keshi,has dropped six homebased players from the squad that will be departing for Ivory Coast on Thursday for the return leg of the CHAN qualifiers.
Nigeria goes into the second leg of the CHAN qualifiers with a healthy 4-1 advantage,hoping to avoid a loss of not more than 3-0 in Abidjan,in order to make the trip to South Africa next year.
Heading the list of players dropped is Kano Pillars’ forward Gambo Mohammed,who failed to recover in time from the knock he got in training.
Other players dropped are : Babalo Haruna,Diya Mohammed,Ezekiel Bassey,Ganiyu Ogungbe and Dele Olorundare.
The game against Ivory Coast will be played on Saturday,and Keshi and his homebased team are quite confident that they will get a result that will qualify them.
