It will be a renewal of the fiercest rivalry between United boss Jose Mourinho and Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger with the former Chelsea coach yet to lose a league game against the French coach.

Below are 6 memorables encounters ahead of the big clash this weekend:

1. MAN UNITED 8-2 ARSENAL (EPL, 2011-2012)

This was Arsene Wenger's biggest defeat since taking over as Arsenal manager in 1996.

With the departures of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona and Samir Nasri's move to Manchester City, coupled with injuries and suspensions, Wenger sent a depleted Arsenal side to Old Trafford who got completely destroyed.

Goals for United who were then champions of the English Premier League were scored by Wayne Rooney (hat-trick), Ashley Young (brace), Park Ji-Sung, Danny Welbeck and Nani.

Arsenal's two goals came off Robin van Persie and Theo Walcott.

2. MAN UNITED 0-1 ARSENAL (EPL, 1997-1998)

Arsenal blew the 1997-1998 Premiership title race wide open by defeating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford thanks to Marc Overmars' 79th minute goal.

It was Arsenal's first ever win and first goal against United at Old Trafford in the Premier League era.

The win left Arsenal with just six points behind United but with three games in hand which they went on to win. Arsenal were eventually crowned champions and added the FA Cup to complete the double that season.

3. MAN UNITED 0-0 ARSENAL: ARSENAL WON 5-4 ON PENALTIES (FA CUP FINAL, 2005)

Despite being outplayed throughout the English FA Cup final in 2005, Arsenal still went on to become champions after defeating Manchester United 5-4 on penalties.

Played at the Millenium Stadium, in Cardiff, Wales, Arsenal were second best throughout the clash but managed to hang on to force the game into penalty shootout.

And in the shootout, Paul Scholes saw his spot kick saved by Jens Lehmann while Patrick Viera converted Arsenal's final kick to dethrone United as winners after they had won the trophy in 2004.

4. MAN UNITED 2-0 ARSENAL (EPL, 2004-2005: UNBEATEN RUN ENDS)

Arsenal went into the clash against United at Old Trafford hoping to preserve their unbeaten run which stood at 49.

But United were having none of that as they defeated Arsenal 2-0 to end a streak that started in 2003.

5. MAN UNITED 2-1 ARSENAL (FA CUP S/FINAL REPLAY: 1998-1999)

This unarguably is one of the greatest games in the history of the FA Cup as 10-man United beat Arsenal 2-1 after extra-time in the semi-final replay and went on to beat Newcastle in the final.

6. MAN UNITED 0-1 ARSENAL (EPL, 2001-2002)

Arsenal clinched their second league and Cup double under Arsene Wenger in the 2001-2002 season and did it in style following their 1-0 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Needing to avoid defeat against United to be confirmed league champions, Arsenal triumphed 1-0 thanks to Sylvain Wiltord's goal in the 57th minute.
