Super Eagles player Michael Babatunde has been ruled out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament for a suspected dislocated arm.

Compatriot, Ogenyi Onazi had fired a shot at goal in the 2-3 loss to Argentina which hit the hand of Babatunde,,forcing the player to be taken off in two successive games with an injury.

Keshi confirmed that the player will be out for sometime and requires surgery to fix the injury.

"I’m not sure. I think he broke his hand. He will do surgery now, as we speak" Keshi said after the game.

"Not sure if he will be able to participate more in the World Cup. Not a good thing" he added.

Babatunde has impressed since coming into the team for the first time in the game against Bosnia, taking the place of Victor Moses who is injured.

Nigeria will square up against France in the knock out phase on Monday in Brasilia.
