Governing Council of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) will today (Wednesday) meet in Abuja to, among other things, look at the escalating crisis in Rivers State, the latest being the shooting of a Senator, Magnus Abe, by the police on Monday.
The meeting will also consider the request by the Federal Government for it to investigate the allegation raised by former President Olusegun Obasanjo that President Goodluck Jonathan was training snipers and had placed 1,000 political opponents on his watch list.
