Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday laid an ambush for a government convoy in Borno.
They fired shots at the convoy, which included military troops and government officials. They detonated improvised explosive devices (IEDs) too.
The troops however foiled their ambush, killing 20 terrorists. Six soldiers were injured.
The troops were escorting local government officials including the Caretaker committee chairman of Gwoza Local Government Council, Hon. Saeed Salisu Sambo and travellers from Pulka to Maiduguri when the terrorists ambushed the convoy.
