Metro Nigeria: Corps Member Nabbed Breaking Into Ecobank ATM With an Axe

A National Youth Service Corps member has been arrested for breaking into an Automated Teller Machine of a new generation bank in Kogi state with the intention of stealing from it.

According to reports, Akah Tersoo, was arrested with an accomplice, Godwin Idih. The duo were among 36 suspects arrested in the last one week in the state.

Police Spokesman Wilson Inalegwu, said both men were caught on April 26, 2017, at about 2 .30am breaking the ATM belonging to Ecobank with a digger and an axe.

“My men, who were on a patrol duty, noticed suspicious movements at a branch of Ecobank on Ganaja Junction, Lokoja, and stopped to observe.

“On close examination, they saw two individuals who were later identified as Godwin Idih and Akah Tersoo, breaking the ATM with a digger and an axe. The team promptly intercepted and arrested the suspects with the exhibits.
