The Presidency on Wednesday held a valedictory session conducted in honour of outgoing Minister of Environment Amina Mohammed.

She was recently appointed as the UN Deputy Secretary-General by by incoming UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN a cross section of the cabinet ministers could not control their emotion as they wept openly at the event.

Acting President Osinbajo, who presided over the session, described the out-going Environment minister as a role model to millions of youths across the country, lauded her contributions to the government and the society at large.

“We have always been very fascinated by her incredible understanding of so many different things.

He announced that a special valedictory dinner would be held in her honour on Thursday.
