The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said that the Federal Government has accepted blame for the current economic challenges facing the country.
Nigeria has been faced with serious challenges as a result of unavailability of foreign exchange, low oil export and poor income generation, which has made many businesses to dwindle and caused the masses to live in abject poverty.
Nigerian citizens have expressed their frustration with the APC-led administration, which has crumbled a lot of activities in the nation.
The Minister of Information has also stated that the government is aware of the harsh economic recession confronting the nation and noted that they are working towards bringing an end to the recession soon.
He noted that the government is trying to create other means of generating funds in order to sustain the nation.
Mohammed made the remark at the fourth commonwealth public relations congress in Lagos, as contained in a statement by the Minister’s spokesperson, Segun Adeyemi.
According to the statement, the Minister said that the Federal Government will stop making excuses on the situation of things and that uncertainties in the oil industry affects Nigeria’s economy.
