Prof. Ango Abdullahi, a former Adviser on Food Security to ex President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to treat the Niger Delta Avengers the same way Boko Haram was treated.

“If we find truly that we cannot peacefully develop this country, the solution is to go our separate ways, why not?

“Even now, we are not happy with the kind of standard of security that is being applied in the country. If you are not going to fight Avengers, you should stop fighting Boko Haram.”

He also blamed politicians for Nigeria's problems.

“Any government that fails to ensure the well being of its people has the least legitimacy, it is not worth being a government," he said.

He was speaking on Tuesday during the launch of a book titled: “The life and times of Umaru Turakin Bauchi at 2015 and Boko Haram: The charade versus the reality at 2016” in Abuja.

Well said. No unity is worth innocent blood.
For the most part, that's true. But don't you think we'll be stronger if united?

We just have to find a way to get good, pragmatic and transparent leadership, a thing which no black nation ruling itself has ever achieved.

Sorry I must have missed the utopian region in Nigeria where the leaders have done right by the people. Where the state institutions work: schools, hospitals, roads etc.

The same men talking about splitting Nigeria have become very rich and have done zero for regions where they now want to be demi gods.

Nigerians should read the real stories after independence - the leaders were just as corrupt them and did not do much for the regions.

Fighting for justice for all is the only way forward but unfortunately hate is easier and is used as a tool of confusion.
