Shortly after Nathaniel Bassey's-led popular Hallelujah Challenge came to an end, Nigerian Catholics have also kicked off their own worship challenge, tagged Rosary Challenge – which will take place live on instagram by 8 a.m every day

The challenge has been greeted with criticisms, with Nigerians saying the Catholics 'copied' the gospel singer's style because of the huge number of worshippers it garnered online.

More than 60,000 people was estimated to have joined Bassey's Instagram's praise and worship in the hour long midnight gathering. It started 31st of May and ended of 29 June.

The Rosary challenge, which was announced by Young & Catholic Nigeria via it's Instagram page reads, "Good Morning Instagram! Starting today until the end of the Marian year, we will pray the rosary on Instagram Live at 8 am West African Time!! So if you find it difficult praying the rosary or just want to hang out with Mary or you want to pray as a group, join us every day at 8 am! We'll be praying for you and see you live soon!"

It started on June 23rd and will end in October 2017.
