Nigeria's Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has assured that the demands of aggrieved oil workers will be met.

Oil workers had threatened to embark on a nationwide strike which will cause fuel scarcity and cripple the country's oil sector.

“We have listened to all their items of concerns and we will address them; we notice that anytime there is strike, it sets us back for two weeks," Kachikwu said. “We have scheduled for a meeting on July 11, so we will tackle some of these issues."

He said the meeting would handle all grievances and expressed hope that everything would end well in the interest of Nigerians.
