A commercial bus driver in oyo state has lost his life to an horrible untimely death after being chased by men of the state's National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) for allegedly lifting passengers at an unauthorized place.
The 18-seater bus crashed along Iwo-road toll gate express-way. Two passengers who were among the survivors explained that the transport union members, who rode in one of the union vehicles smashed the windscreen of the bus and threw a tyre in its way, thus made the driver lose control and caused the vehicle to somersault and went in flames.
The driver who was trapped under the bus was burnt beyond recognition. His remains were evacuated by officials of the Toll Gate Unit of the Oyo state Federal Road Safety Corps.
