Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, weekend, described the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led by Alhaji Modu Sheriff as spoilers.
Speaking at Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area of the state during a Delta North PDP Stakeholders Forum, Okowa said: “PDP senators, members of House of Representatives, all the governors and former governors are supporting Alhaji Ahmed Markafi as the recognized Caretaker Committee Chairman of the PDP.
The Sheriff group is just playing the role of spoilers, but, do not throw them away. Provide the enabling environment for them to be active in our party because they are our brothers and sisters.” While enjoining those with political ambitions to avoid heating up the polity, the governor emphasized the need for them to concentrate on selling themselves to the electorate.
