Politics [Photos] Frenzy in Abuja As Hon. Aniefiok Akpan Charges Youths to Vote Massively for Jonathan

Abuja was thrown into a serious political frenzy on 10th March 2015, on account of the seminar/workshop organized by the Office of the National Youth Leader G2G 2015 Project in collaboration with her G2G Youth Progressive Partners.

This aim of the programme was to galvanize a strong synergy among youth groups from all the six geopolitical zones in the federation for the re-election of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR. The various youth leaders were able to articulate salient points why we need to be united in our support for Mr President especially on account of his overwhelming performance through his transformational programmes and developmental projects spanning across all sectors and throughout the federation.

The climax of the programme was the courtesy call on a revered national patriarch, Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark (CON) and the conferment of a Merit Award of Excellence on him in recognition of role as a patriotic leader and elder-statesman.

In the entourage of the National Youth Leader comprised of the under-listed youth leaders and majority of their members that attended the strategy workshop:

10. Coordinator – Unemployed Youth Congress

11. Coordinator – Kano Youth Forum

12. Chairman - Adamawa Youth Congress

13. Chairman – Katsina Youth Congress

14. Coordinator – Zamfara Youth Congress

15. Coordinator – Abuja Youth Congress

16. Chairman – Kebbi Youth Congress

17. Chairman - Isoko Youth Association

18. Chairman - Plateau Youth Congress

19. Chairman – Kaduna Youth Congress

The convener emphasized the need for the various youth groups to continue to support Mr. President’s re-election bid on the premise of his score card and effective performance in his transformation drive nation-wide.

Com. Kabiru Mohammed and Engr. Irene K. Jumbo, Chairman Sokoto Youth Council and Chairperson Ijaw Youth Council (Northern Zone) respectively, enumerated a lot of President Jonathan’s developmental projects in all parts of the federation especially the almajiri school projects, e-wallet agricultural programme and most recently the recapture of the territories occupied by the Boko Haram terrorists.

The Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo pointed out that President Goodluck Jonathan has demonstrated a lot of youth friendliness, in his cabinet appointments, the YOUWIN programmes and even the creation of more universities to give the youths more opportunities to equip them as future leaders.

A lot of encomium was poured on Hon. Aniefiok Akpan by all the youths for his sacrifice in organizing such an interactive, well engaging programme, as well as his untiring and undying support for Mr. President’s re-election for continuity come the 2015 presidential election.

They also prayed God to grant Hon. Akpan better opportunities to serve the interest of the youths.

Chief Dr. Edwin K. Clark was not left out in appreciating the good job Hon. Akpan has been doing especially his non violent campaigns, daily media broadcast and most recently a campaign song for Mr. President titled “Goodluck Carry Dey Go” all in support of his success in the coming election.

He further thanked Hon. Akpan for the award conferred on him, expressing that it would spur him to be more selfless in his service to the nation. He urged the youths to remain resolute in their support for Mr. President as they return to their respective constituencies.
