The Police in Kano have uncovered and defused a high calibre Improvised Explosive Device at Dawnau, a popular food market in the ancient town, Vanguard reports.
Eyewitness told Vanguard that the bomb was concealed in a sack that was hidden at the busy market.
This is coming barely 24 hours after Kano Textile market was bombed by two female suicide bombers.
The Kano police commissioner, Adelenre Shinaba confirmed the incident, adding that “we have successfully detonated the bomb and I can assure you that we have restored normalcy to the market.”
