The Lagos State Police Command wants the residents of the state to be security conscious as the Ramadan festivities draw near, saying it had put on ground security measures to ensure that the celebrations were peaceful.

A statement on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, urged traditional and religious leaders to sensitise their followers to shun cult groups and activities and warned cult members in the state to cease from formenting trouble.

Citing the endemic areas like Mushin, Ikorodu and the Lagos Island, the command also stressed the need for collaboration with the people of the state in apprehending suspects.
