Sports Rafael Nadal discharged from the hospital after having an appendix surgery

Rafael Nadal has been discharged from the hospital just days after having an appendix surgery.

The world number three pulled out of the Paris Masters and also the season ending world tour event in London, opting to rather have the surgery earlier than further delaying it.

Having successfully undergone surgery, Nadal told reporters that it went well

"Everything went well. It was simple, ordinary surgery," Nadal told reporters on Wednesday

He is expected to make his comeback in time for the Australian Open tournament, which commences in January.

Nadal could not defend his US Open title, after having to withdraw due to a wrist injury.
