THIS DAY has uncovered two major reasons Governor Emmanuel Udom is yet to move into the Akwa Ibom state Government House popularly referred to as Hilltop Mansion.
The reasons include:
1. Udom who is an Elder in the Qua Iboe Church is wary of the fetish ‘mines’ allegedly buried on the grounds of the Hilltop Mansion, official residence of the Governor. For this reason, he prefers to keep his distance from his certified home.
2. Udom whose election is being keenly disputed at the tribunal has decided to shun the governor’s lodge in the event that his opponent’s case succeeds and he is booted out. When that happens, he prefers to tip-toe back to his private residence to continue a quiet existence.
