The National Assembly resumed on Tuesday after almost two months break.

Here are five things that happened at the plenary today...

- Senate President Bukola Saraki made announcements and condoled with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege on the demise of his Father.

Senate Leader Ali Ndume also informed the Senate of the demise of Honourable Oluwatayo of the House of Representative.

- Senate President Bukola Saraki charged the Executive Arm to do the needful towards bringing the nation out of recession.

- Senate Leader Ali Ndume said the Senate will begin a debate on the economic challenges and recession tomorrow Wednesday 21st Sept., 2016 .
