The Senate on Tuesday asked the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Ibe Kachikwu to appear before a joint committee to explain a multiple multi-billion oil deals with India and China.

The invitation followed a motion moved by Senator Clifford Ordia (PDP, Edo) who noted that though the deals had good potentials on the face value, some explanations were necessary to know what exactly the country was being committed to by the agreements.
