Metro Six Injured Journalists Discharged from Hospital after Auto Crash

The six journalists involved in an auto-crash along Ilesa/Ife express have been discharged from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Osogbo. The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Femi Fadiora, confirmed that the victims were discharged after they had been confirmed to be medically fit.

The Osun State council for the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) showed appreciation to all who rallied in support for the six injured journalist, and especially to the Governor of Osun State, Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his genuine concern he showed towards the plight of the journalists, even while he was in Saudi Arabia.

The state government had picked up the medical bill and provided state of the art ambulances for those of the six journalists who had been referred to the Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, for further treatment.
