Sports Someone wants to distract the team with Carlo Ancelotti rumour- Barcelona President

Josep Bartomeo1.jpg Barcelona president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has described the rumour of replacing Luis Enrique with Real Maadrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti as a ploy to destabilize the Catalans ahead of their champions league and Copa Del Rey final games.

Barcelona, who are already the Spanish La Liga champions have a date with Athletic Bilbao on May 30 in the final of this year's Copa Del Rey, while they meet Juventus on June 6 for the champions league final.

Bartomeu said that someone who doesn't like how peaceful the club has been in recent times want to unsettle the team ahead of the two crucial games which lead Barcelona to a treble, which they last enjoyed under Pep Guardiola- The Bayern Munich manager.

"We are very angry about the Carlo Ancelotti situation," he told radio station RAC1.

"I say to our members that this is not true and it seems they want to destabilise the club.

"The club needs tranquillity because we have a cup final and a Champions League final. It seems someone wants to destabilise us. There is no list of coaches. Ariedo Braida and Carles Rexach are looking at players."

Bartomeu also revealed the club are unlikely to increase their contract offer to full-back Dani Alves and remains unsure if he will stay.

"Barcelona have made Alves the best offer we can. He will decide. I don't know if he'll stay or not," he said.
