Sports Super Eagles : Personal issues delaying Keshi from commencing work

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi is yet to commence duties since his second comeback to the national team.

Keshi was last week brought back to manage the Super Eagles on the instance of President Goodluck Jonathan, two weeks after he was initially laid off by the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF).

However, Keshi is yet to resume coaching the national team, as he is still in the nation's capital to sort out some things.

The homebased Eagles are presently in Uyo preparing for the friendly game against the under 23 national team of Ghana.

Nigeria will on Friday play Ghana in an international friendly to commission the newly built ultra modern stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

But the training sessions of the homebased Eagles is being overseen by the assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Daniel Amokachi, with Keshi expected to join the team later.

An official statement read that Keshi is in Abuja on “some personal issues” and would join the team in Uyo.
