The Nigerian senate has called the attention of the Federal Government to the relocation of operation centres of telecom firms out of the country.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Communications, Sen. Gilbert Nnaji said: "some of the companies have started relocating their network operation centres from Nigeria to India, which has grave implications on National security, as these centres would be monitored by foreigners from outside the shores of Nigeria."
He urged Telecoms Minister Adebayo Shittu to quickly take necessary actions to arrest the situation before it becomes a national threat.
