In the world of smart phones, mobile phone companies seem to be in a very tight struggle for the ever growing market. The new iPhones 5S and 5C introduced by Apple do not make the competition any less stiff.

Apple on Tuesday, the 10th of September, introduced two new iPhones, the 5S (which is an upgrade of the old iPhone 5), and the 5C (which is a new, cheaper, and simpler version). The phones, Apple CEO Tim Cook, says, are a reaction to a changing Smartphone market.

He says "Business has become so large that this year we are going to replace the iPhone 5 and we're going to replace it with not one, but two designs.” This, he says, is in a bid to serve even more customers.

The iPhone 5C has all the features of any typical iPhone, although the specs are much more simpler than other iPhones previously produced - what critics have taken up to call a "cheap imitation" of the real thing. It is, however, a genuine Apple product all the same, and bears all the trademarks and brandings of an Apple iPhone.

According to Huffington Post, the phone's selling price would be as low as $99 for a 16 GB memory version, and $199 for one with a 32 GB storage capacity. The 5C has an all-new iPhone design to it though - something very different from any other iPhone Apple has made yet.

The 5S on the other hand is the traditional updated iPhone 5. This time it comes with a higher processing speed and for the first time ever in smart phone world, a 64-bit chip (Apple's A7). It also has a motion co-processor. Also, for the first time in iPhone history, it will allow video in slow motion.

It is said that arguably the most dramatic feature on the phone and perhaps smart phone world, is the finger print scanner, which allows the user login to the phone, and also allows the user gain access to online stores, to make purchases, using the fingerprint as a password of sorts.

The phone will sell for $199 for a 16 GB memory version, and $299 for a 32Gd model, and $399 for the top end 64 GB phone.

It is clear that this set of iPhones comes with many firsts, and Apple has maintained an originality that has sustained its stay and indeed rise in the market giving its customers an excitement that is ingenious to it. These new products seem to only have more excitement with them. They definitely are a must buy for smart phone aficionados.

LOL. @Lequte, it will be available in Nigeria. The iPhone 5C is 'cheap', plastic version. The 5S is still the usual expensive iPhone. Meanwhile. the iPhone 5C sells for $99 in the diaspora because of the inclusion of two-year contracts.

It will definitely be available in Nigeria soon...but I fear it would be expensive still.

^^If it'll still be expensive then there's no use buying it; won't be good for business.
